Umi (umiformothers.com) supports mums from Africa with the information, connection, and community needed to take care of themselves and their little ones, as well as advance at home, at work, and in life. We do this through our community (Umi Circle), our newsletter, and the mentorship program.
New mums of children between ages 0 and 3 are invited to apply to join the 4th Cohort of the Umi Mentorship Program. This cohort will run from February 2025 - April 30, 2025.
Every new mum selected for the Umi Mentorship Program will benefit from the following:
a. Pairing with an experienced mentor who is thriving in their professions and raising well-adjusted kids for a 3-month mentorship experience
b. Peer-mentorship with 4 other mums in your Umi mini-circle. Consider them your personal board of advisors.
c. Weekly workshops and reflection sessions focused on important areas of your mental and physical health, business and career, and relationships/family for the 12 weeks of the mentorship program.
The goal is to validate the experiences of new mothers, support them and further give them access to the wealth of knowledge and networks of the mentors who are breaking the glass ceilings in their own profession.
