Applications are now open for the 2025 Dalai Lama Fellowship, a prestigious opportunity for emerging changemakers committed to creating positive social impact. The Dalai Lama Fellows (DLF) program spans one year and is designed to help participants develop leadership skills that are deeply rooted in principles of awareness, compassion, and integrity.
This interdisciplinary program provides a rich and transformative learning experience. Participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that covers various aspects of leadership and social change, guided by experienced mentors and coaches. The curriculum is carefully crafted to encourage reflective thinking, self-awareness, and the cultivation of empathetic leadership styles.
In addition to the structured learning opportunities, Fellows will benefit from group learning sessions that foster collaboration and community building among peers. These sessions encourage dialogue and the sharing of experiences, allowing participants to draw inspiration from one another’s unique backgrounds and insights.
Moreover, the program offers additional forms of support tailored to meet individual needs, ensuring that each Fellow can effectively apply the lessons learned to their respective areas of interest and work. By the end of the fellowship, participants will be well-equipped to make meaningful contributions to their communities and the broader world, driven by principles that foster understanding and compassion.
During the fellowship year, each Fellow implements an original field project addressing a local challenge. With the program’s support, Fellows cultivate capacities of self-awareness, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, listening and communication, systems thinking, and many more to help their work make a genuinely positive impact on the communities they serve. Fellows’ learning is also supported by instruction in a range of contemplative practices that foster a deeper connection to self, others, and ecosystems.
