We are no ordinary startup accelerator. We focus on female founders and mixed teams. For us, our mission centers on sustainably empowering female entrepreneurs on their startup journey and giving them a decisive advantage with Grace to overcome the challenges along the way. We value founder-centricity. For us, this means that we meet our female founders exactly where they are with their company and where they are as a person. With us, you don't have to pretend, you can be who you are: With all the struggles and vulnerabilities of being a founder and a human being.
Currently, half of the global population lacks access to essential healthcare services, highlighting a significant and urgent need for change. To address this critical issue, it is imperative to leverage innovative solutions and create new models that effectively expand healthcare access. Health entrepreneurship plays a pivotal role in this transformation, and women-led initiatives, in particular, are essential in driving these efforts. By empowering women entrepreneurs in the healthcare sector, we can harness their unique perspectives and insights to develop tailored solutions that cater to underserved communities. This approach not only helps bridge the access gap but also fosters inclusive growth and sustainable development in healthcare.
WIDEF has committed to support multiple grant funding rounds in India to advance the 2023 G20 Leaders commitment under India’s presidency to halve the gender digital divide by 2030. This initiative, which aims to accelerate digital inclusion for women, is a vital step toward achieving WiDEF’s vision of closing the gender gap in digital access. Globally, digital inclusion is recognized as central to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Access to and use of the internet can enable women to participate meaningfully in the digital economy, strengthening their livelihoods and resilience. Yet, one-third of the world’s population remains offline, with women making up the majority of those excluded.
