The O'Shaughnessy Ventures is excited to invite applications for its Fellowship and Grant Program that unites the world's most bold and undiscovered researchers, builders and creatives to find, build and spread new ideas.
The Fellowships and Grants are designed to empower exceptional individuals whose work creates a positive impact on the world, spanning areas such as scientific advancements, technological innovations, and enduring contributions to the arts and culture.
Although the Fellows and Grantees engage in diverse projects across various domains, they are united by several essential characteristics:
Personal Agency: Every individual possesses the ability and capacity to actively shape their future. The program seeks candidates who consistently demonstrate initiative and proactiveness in their endeavors, reflecting a robust sense of personal agency.
Exemplary Proof of Work: While past performance does not necessarily predict future success, it provides invaluable insights into an individual's character and capabilities. A proven history of exemplary work within any field serves as a strong indicator of one’s skills, competencies, and potential.
Resourcefulness: The Fellowships provide financial support to initiate projects; however, the question remains: how creatively can candidates leverage this funding to achieve the greatest impact in the shortest possible time? The program is interested in individuals who exhibit determination, sound judgment, and the ability to utilize limited resources ingeniously in order to accomplish their goals.
Funding Information
Each fellow will receive a $100,000 equity-free grant to pursue their project over a one-year period. Following this year, recipients will receive assistance in raising equity should they choose to do so. Additionally, alongside the ten Fellowships, up to twenty individuals will each be awarded a $10,000 grant and provided access to the OSV network, which includes founders, investors, and experts to support the realization of their projects.
Eligibility Criteria
The fellowship is open to adults worldwide, irrespective of their background. The sole requirement is the possession of a strong portfolio that demonstrates proof of work. Individuals who are 18 years of age or older are eligible to apply.
